Magnets

This week we have has tons of fun with magnets. The students went to the Science Lab and explored what magnets would attract and what it felt like when they repelled. They learned about the magnets having a north and south pole . They made butterflies fly and got to play with magnetic slime. Ask your child what metal an object has to have in order for a magnet to be attracted to it.

For our STEM challenge the students were asked to design a maze. They had use a magnet to make a paperclip travel through their maze. They imagined, planned, created, and tested their designs. All of the students tested each maze and voted on their favorite to play. The most votes went to Finley and Caroline's design!
