Let’s Keep Our Duck Dry

In the Science Lab, students worked with a partner to create a shelter that would keep their duck dry. The duck had to be able to get in and out easily and it had to be protected from the weather. The students had so much fun planning and creating their shelters using a variety of materials. Some worked on the first try and others had to be improved but all had a great time building!

Magnetic Path STEM challenge

This week we learned more about magnets. We read books, watched videos, and took notes about magnets in the computer lab to prepare for this challenge. Students were asked to create a game that would be fun fit 5 to 7 years olds to play. They worked together to choose a theme , draw a character piece, design a path, and create their game. Their path had to be over 25 cubes long. The games were great fun to create and kinda hard to measure. Students had to follow their path with a string then use cubes to measure their strings. We also discussed ways to improve the games and compared our measurements. On Monday, students will get to test everyone’s games out!
