Thanksgiving

Thank you to those parents and family members who were able to make it to our Thanksgiving lunch. It was great to see you and the kids were sure excited to see you.

We also had the chance to meet with our book buddies . We completed a glyph, asked would you rather questions, and completed a word search.

I hope you all have a relaxing and delicious break! I am thankful for each and every one of your precious children and the opportunity to teach them.

Sound

This week in the science lab students participated in sound stations. They made kazoos, experimented with tuning first, and tried to guess what objects were in plastic eggs just by listening to the sound they made. We learned these important vocabulary words used when we talk about sound: vibration, waves, and pitch.

Light

This week in the Science Lab we learned about light. We heard it travels fast! 7 seconds around the earth in one second!!! We learned the words reflection and refraction. Also we learned how important light is for us to see- especially colors and details. We also created shadow puppets. In the Lab we have a new reptile friend. The students had an opportunity to think of a name for him. Can’t wait to see what name wins!
