Sadly our study of Ben Franklin has come to an end. The students loved this unit and who blames them! Benjamin Franklin really was amazing! The projects were wonderful and the students did a super job explaining them. Please have a wonderful Thanksgiving break. Don't forget that reading challenge. Remind the kids about how much Ben loved to read! ;)

Light
The students had a great time experimenting with light in the Science Lab this week. They rotated through stations and tested materials to see if light could pass through it, put on a shadow puppet show, and saw how light can seem like magic when you add water.

Happy Halloween!
Today we got to meet with our book buddies again. We played a roll a pumpkin game and Halloween charades with them. All you need is 2 dice and a paper and pencil to play the roll a pumpkin game, see below for the game.
The students were asked to come up with a Halloween costume for me. Their suggestions and reasons were great.
We have researched spiders and practiced our first piece of informational writing. We also created spiders that have fact families on their legs!
A big thank you to Hailey's dad who brought us some super fun treats!
