Grinch Day

We had so much fun celebrating the Grinch on Friday. We read the story, did activities, meet with our book buddies, and watched a movie. We also enjoyed a green Grinch treat!

Crickets

This week in the science Lab we continued to study light. The students tested to see what light could go through and learned the terms opaque, transparent, and translucent. We also got to experiment with crickets. We learned that they prefer to be in the dark. Ask your child how you can tell a male from a female cricket!

Everyday Leaders

This week we had a special guest performance. Ronald McDonald came to teach us about how we can be everyday leaders. The students really enjoyed the show.

Our first grade performance is coming up on December 15th. Please help your child practice the songs they will be singing. You can find them on Mrs. Shook's blog. Also, be sure to get their costumes ready! It is going to be a cute show.
